The police arrested a bus conductor for allegedly killing a 7-year-old student of Ryan International School in Gurugram. Police suspect bus conductor Ashok Kumar tried to disrobe the boy and force himself on him in the school toilet, and struck him with the knife when the boy resisted. Kumar has been charged with murder and attempted sexual assault.

A hospital run by the Dera Sacha Sauda at its Sirsa headquarters was allegedly conducting illegal organ transplants. Under the Transplant of Human Organs Act, all medical institutions and hospitals performing organ transplant and running eye banks, must be registered with the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization or Regional Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization. However, the 400-bed facility is not registered under either organisation.
China said Pakistan has not been given ‘full credit’ for its efforts to battle terrorism by ‘some countries’. “When it comes to the issue of counterterrorism, we believe Pakistan has done its best with a clear conscience. At least 61 people were killed after a massive 8.1 magnitude earthquake struck off the Mexico’s southern coast. A number of buildings suffered severe damage in parts of southern Mexico. It triggered waves as high as 2.3 ft (0.7 m) in Mexico, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said. Mexican television showed images of the sea retreating about 50 meters, and authorities evacuated some coastal areas.
A 13-year-old rape survivor, who was allowed by the Supreme Court to terminate her pregnancy, delivered a baby boy. The newborn, weighing 1.8kg, was delivered through a cesarean section at Mumbai’s JJ Hospital and whisked away to the neonatal intensive care unit soon after the delivery. The doctor said most of his organs would be underdeveloped at 32 weeks.
