The Pakistan Army claimed Kulbhushan Jadhav sought clemency from the Pakistan Army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa. Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement, claimed that in his plea, Jadhav has “admitted his involvement in espionage, terrorist and subversive activities” in Pakistan. Meanwhile, India has reacted strongly to the claim. “The details and circumstances of the alleged mercy petition by Mr Jadhav are not clear and even the fact of its existence is doubtful, shrouded as the proceedings against Mr Jadhav have been in opacity,” said MEA spokesperson Gopal Baglay.
During his visit to the US, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will discuss terrorism, economic cooperation with US President Donald Trump. US space agency Nasa launched world’s lightest satellite designed by a 18-year-old Tamil Nadu student. The tiny satellite, named after Abdul Kalam, was flown by a Nasa sounding rocket and the lift-off was from the space agency’s Wallop Island facility on Thursday . The satellite was designed and developed by 18-year-old Rifath Sharook and his team, hailing from Tamil Nadu’s Pallapatti.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) extended the date for online verification of class 12 papers till June 27. CBSE has also extended date for obtaining photocopies of the examination papers till June 30. The initial dates for online rechecking and verification of papers was May 31 to June 5, and the application window for obtaining photocopies was from June 14 to 19.
