The Centre today said that it won’t hold talks on the J&K issue with separatist leaders or those who want ‘azaadi’. The Centre made this statement while the Supreme Court was hearing a petition filed by the Jammu and Kashmir Bar Association against the use of pellet guns. The apex court has asked the association to submit the names of relevant people who can hold talks with the Centre.

The IMF has said that India’s Goods and Services Tax would help raise its medium-term growth to above 8%. “We expect that the goods and services tax (GST), which is targeted to be applied starting in July, will enhance production and the movement of goods and services across Indian states,” an International Monetary Fund official said.
