SC refuses to stay BSY swearing-in, hearing on plea to continue Friday
The apex court made it clear that the swearing-in and the government formation would be subject to the final outcome of the case before it. After hearing the matter for more than three hours, a three-judge bench directed that the letter sent by the BJP to the governor for forming the government be placed before it.
BJP seeks to win over rivals’ Lingayat MLAs
There are about a dozen Lingayat MLAs in Congress and JD(S) who could rally around to backing Yeddyurappa, considered the tallest politician from the community.
