CBSE Class 12 Economics re-exam on April 25, decision on class 10 re-test in 15 days, education secretary Anil Swarup said today. Addressing mediapersons, Swarup said, “Regarding Class 10th re-examination, as leak was restricted to Delhi and Haryana, if it at all a re-exam will happen, it will happen only in Delhi and Haryana.” He said that the decision was taken in the interest of the children. China’s OBOR is an important initiative, but entails risks as well, the International Monetary Fund has said. According to the IMF spokesperson Gery Rice, OBOR can foster regional cooperation, including in trade and investment and finance, and it could indeed make a very significant contribution in terms of infrastructure, connectivity to countries. The US immigration authorities will begin to accept applications for H-1B visas from April 2. As work permit gets scarce, the spouses of current H-1B visa holders are expected to queue up. Spouses of H-1B visa holders are granted an H4 visa. They are not entitled to work or carry on their own business unless they obtain an ’employment authorisation document’ (EAD), which is a work permit.

The Budget proposals including the reintroduction of LTCG exceeding Rs 1 lakh from sale of shares will kick in from April 1. Besides this, other tax proposals like reduced corporate tax of 25 per cent on businesses on turnover of up to Rs 250 crore and a standard deduction of Rs 40,000 in lieu of transport allowance and medical reimbursement will come into effect from Sunday.
Isro has released visuals from camera onboard GSLV Mk-II injected communication satellite GSAT-6A. An edited version of the visuals of the launch and those from the onboard cameras has been posted on the space agency’s website. The video which runs for 1.41 minutes shows the clips from pre-launch when the GSLV Mk-II I is moved to the launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, and the countdown sequence.
