The Karni Sena yesterday said that they would withdraw their protests against ‘Padmavati’ if the royal family of Mewar clears the movie. The statement comes just four days after Arvind Singh Mewar, who is one of the direct descendants of the 14th century Chittor ruler Rawal Ratan Singh, told TOI he was ready to mediate to resolve the ‘Padmavati’ issue if Bhansali so desired. The government has recommended an ordinance to tighten the norms to bar loan defaulters from bidding for ailing entities.
