There have been huge totalling errors in this year’s CBSE board exam papers. Documents accessed by TOI revealed how a Mumbai student who scored 80% and above in all his subjects, scored just 50 in maths. After verification, his marks were revised to 90. Another economics student who was ‘failed’ with 9 marks finally ended up with 45. TOI mailed and texted a questionnaire to CBSE’s chairperson and spokesperson but there was no official response. CBSE currently only allows verification while re-evaluation is possible only after a court order.
Abu Salem petitioned the European Court of Human Rights for his return to Portugal. Months before his second major conviction in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case, gangster Abu Salem has alleged his presence and trial in India have been rendered illegal following the termination of his extradition order as upheld in 2014 by Portugal’s court of appeal. While permitting his extradition in 2005, the Portugal court had said that Salem cannot be given the death sentence.

Don’t think we need to change anything for the final, Indian captain Virat Kohli said. Pakistan’s “magnificent turnaround” has impressed him but Kohli says there is nothing that India needs to be overtly concerned about ahead of the Champions Trophy final against the arch-foes today. India eased past Bangladesh to enter the finals while Pakistan got the better of more fancied England in their semifinal clash. India have already beaten Pakistan in the ongoing tournament during the preliminary stage.
PM Modi and Donald Trump are expected to break the ice with a personal dinner meeting. The dinner will be an important event as both leaders will get an opportunity to take a measure of the other. Trump and Modi will hold their official talks on June 26 in a familiar routine: restricted talks followed by delegation level talks, a meeting with CEOs and a press conference. PM Modi will be doing a modest diaspora event a day before in Washington DC.
