Instead of author Mohammed Hanif’s article, entitled “Pakistan’s Triangle of Hate: Taliban, Army and India”, Pakistani readers of the International edition of NYT confronted a blank page, a note on which made sure to convey that NYT “had no role in its removal”. Hanif, in his opinion piece ‘The Case of Exploding Mangoes’, excoriates the Pakistani army for making a repellant Pakistani Taliban man “a new ally in its never-ending war against India”.
