Pakistan has played a ‘double game’ with the United States for years, US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley has alleged. Haley came out in support of President Donald Trump’s decision to block $255 million military aid to Pakistan. “Pakistanis work with us at times, and they also harbour the terrorists that attack our troops in Afghanistan. That game is not acceptable to this administration,” Haley said

The contentious bill that criminalises instant triple talaq among Muslims is set to be introduced in the Rajya Sabha today. The bill, which makes instant triple talaq illegal with up to three years in jail for the husband, was passed by the Lower House last week. The bill could get stalled in the Rajya Sabha where government lacks a majority and it may be referred to a parliamentary committee for its review.
