Death toll in the Mexico earthquake crossed 250 as many bodies, trapped under collapsed buildings, are being recovered now. Police, firefighters and ordinary Mexicans dug frantically through the rubble of collapsed schools, homes and apartment buildings looking for survivors of Mexico’s deadliest earthquake in decades. The magnitude-7.1 quake struck on the 32nd anniversary of the 1985 earthquake that killed thousands.

Aerosol, the sub-micron size particles suspended in air, are produced from a variety of man-made and natural processes such as vehicle exhaust, waste-burning, wind blown dust, volcanic eruptions etc. The joint study has also confirmed the presence of nitrate.
