War on terror gets J&K cops, BSF & CRPF 40 of the 190 police medals
990 personnel from various state police and central forces were conferred the police medals this year. The police gallantry medal list includes 25 personnel of J&K police, apart from 10 CRPF and five BSF personnel deployed in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Golden jackal rescued from 40 ft deep well in Junnar
A two-year-old male golden jackal was found trapped inside a 40 feet deep well outside Vadaj village in Junnar region of Maharashtra. The animal was rescued and released back into its natural habitat by the Wildlife SOS team from the Manikdoh Leopard Rescue Center and the Forest Department.
