In a case of serious negligence, the state Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has found out that a drug routinely prescribed to induce uterine contractions was being sold to hospitals despite the ampules bearing a label ‘for animal use only’. The drug regulatory body is now awaiting reports to find out if it was a case of mislabelling or whether women have indeed been given an animal drug. |
