Indian diplomats are being harassed in Islamabad and are being prevented from discharging duties, said MEA today. During a press briefing, the external affairs ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said that the Indian High Commission in Pakistan is facing many issues. &ldquo;We want that our officials are not harassed, their work is not obstructed and that the Vienna Convention of Diplomatic Relations, 1961 is abided by,&rdquo; said Kumar. 31 suspected economic offenders have fled the country to avoid prosecution, the government has told the Lok Sabha. In a written reply, Minister of State for External Affairs MJ Akbar gave a list of 31 persons including Nirav Modi and his uncle Mehul Choksi, accused in the Punjab National Bank scam. The others in the list include Nirav Modi’s wife Ami Nirav Modi and son Neeshal Modi, liquor baron Vijay Mallya, cricket czar Lalit Modi and arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari.

The CBSE has denied reports that the question paper for the Class 12 accountancy exam was leaked this morning. The leaked question paper reportedly matched set II of the Accountancy question paper. According to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), reports that the question paper was leaked via messaging app WhatsApp, were not true and all the seals were found intact at all exam centres. Some people tried to cause confusion by spreading rumours of a leak, the board said.
Saudi Arabia will develop nuclear bomb if its arch rival Iran does so, the kingdom’s crown prince has said. The kingdom’s 32-year-old crown prince said this in a television interview released on Thursday. The country, which is the world’s top oil exporter, had previously said that it wants nuclear technology only for peaceful uses. The kingdom is in a tussle with Iran and is stepping up its plans to develop nuclear energy capability as part of a reform plan led by Prince Mohammed to reduce the economy’s dependence on oil.
