Harish Salve said Pakistan’s attempt to seek review of the ICJ’s interim stay on Kulbhushan Jadhav’s execution is a ‘populist ploy’. Salve said, “There is no appeal or review procedure provided under the ICJ statute or rules against the orders already passed by it. India had pressed for provisional measures citing urgency to save Jadhav on the ground that Pakistan had grossly and continuously violated the mandate of Vienna Convention on Consular Access. The ICJ had heard Pakistan in detail before accepting India’s plea.”

The AAP objected to some of the terms and conditions announced by the Election Commission for the EVM hackathon. “In our demonstration, we showed how to change the motherboard of an EVM, but the EC has put a restriction on that. If you do not allow people to explore the machines and remove the chip, then how can one prove that it can be hacked,” senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh said. An AAP delegation is likely to visit the commission on Monday to seek clarity on the matter.
ISRO to launch 3 communication satellites in 18 months to catapult India into the high-speed internet era. Isro chairman Kiran Kumar said, “We will launch three communication satellites. GSAT-19 in June and GSAT-11 and GSAT-20 thereafter.These satellites will use multiple spot beams (a special kind of transponder that operates on a high frequency) that will increase internet speed and connectivity. These multiple spot beams will cover the entire country.”

A Mumbai court said Sahara chief Subrata Roy can’t skip a hearing citing gastroenteritis. “I am of the opinion that the exemption sought by accused is to avoid a hearing on framing of charges and protract the trial and keep the case idle,” said the judge.The court also issued a notice to Dr R N Jain from the Noida Medicare Centre who issued Roy the medical certificate.
