US, Japan and South Korea will hold missile tracking drills as tensions rise over North Korea’s fast-developing weapons programmes North Korea has fired missiles over Japan as it pursues nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles in defiance of UN sanctions and international condemnation. On November 29, it test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) which it said was its most advanced yet, capable of reaching the mainland United States.

PM Narendra Modi claimed Congress leaders had held a secret meeting with Pakistani envoy and foreign minister of the neighbouring country. “It was an issue of hot debate in newspapers and media yesterday that a meeting between former Pakistan high commissioner, former minister of external affairs of Pakistan, former vice president Hamid Ansari and former PM Manmohan Singh was held at Mani Shankar Aiyar’s house. A 6-year-old girl was sexually abused and then brutally murdered by inserting a wooden stick into her private parts in Haryana. She had gone to sleep with her mother and two siblings in the tent at around 9pm on Saturday, her mother told the police. Her father, a rag-picker, was away in Delhi. The unidentified murderer had inserted a wooden stick in her body, which was clearly visible when the body was found. Her body parts were badly brutalized.
