India pulled out of a multilateral Asian coast guard event, held in Islamabad. MEA had earlier sought and acquired visas from Pakistan for top ICG officers, including the DG. However, the defence ministry decided at the last moment that this wasn’t the right time for an Indian security agency to participate in any event in Pakistan at a high level. The meet was held on October 24-25 and which saw participation from 13 countries.

Travelling to the US becomes inconvenient as all airports around the world have introduced new security measures. Travellers could face more detailed inspection of their electronic devices. And they could be subject to security interviews by airline employees, according to a US government official. The new steps will cover about 2,100 flights a day flying from other countries to the US. They will apply to both American citizens and foreigners.
The Supreme Court asked the Centre to create an online portal and hotline number to curb online circulation of child pornography. “A reporting mechanism must be created at the central level, preferably with the CBI to also receive information of any child pornography (CP)/rape and gang rape(RGR) content being circulated in social media or any other platform over the internet,” the court-appointed panel said.
