The defence ministry decided to significantly enhance infrastructure along the Sino-India border. The decision was taken at the Army’s commanders conference which extensively deliberated on the Doklam face off with China besides analysing all possible security challenges on the northern border. On boosting infrastructure, Director General Staff Duties Lt. Gen. Vijay Singh said “four passes to Niti, Lipulekh, Thangla 1 and Tsangchokla have been decided to be connected by 2020 on priority.”

The Talwar couple, who have been acquitted in the murder case of their daughter Aarushi, is likely to be released from Dasna Jail on Monday. “There is no possibility of release of Rajesh and Nupur Talwar from Dasna Jail today as we have not received the court order copy so far. Their release may take place on Monday as tomorrow is second Saturday,” lawyer of the Talwars’ Tanvir Mir Ahmed said. The Talwars have been lodged in Dasna jail since November 2013.
BJP president Amit Shah said there was no question of corruption in his son Jay Amit Shah’s company. Jay, he said, has filed a defamation suit and asked for an inquiry (by approaching the court) as had the BJP. “As far as the company is concerned, it has not done business worth a rupee with the government. A balance has to be struck between national interest and human rights while dealing with Rohingya issue, said the Supreme Court. The apex court, which decided to give a detailed and “holistic hearing” from November 21 on the government’s decision to deport Rohingya Muslims to Myanmar. The bench said there cannot be an “iota of doubt” that humanitarian issue is involved, but it also has to keep in mind the national interest.
