West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has said that GJM has connections to terrorist organisations. She alleged that the party has amassed firearms to create unrest in Darjeeling, and that a policeman has been seriously injured in attack by GJM supporters. Licence of a petrol pump allotted Lalu Prasad’s son Tej Pratap has been cancelled by Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd. But the order could not be executed following a temporary injunction order by Patna civil court. BPCL had sought explanation from Tej regarding ownership of the plot on which the pump was located, citing irregularities. The termination order said that Tej had failed to provide satisfactory explanations.
Perpetrators of the Anantnag ambush would “face the law” very soon, J&K DGP SP Vaid said. Suspected LeT terrorists killed 6 policemen yesterday in an ambush in Achabal in Anantnag, mutilated their faces and fled with their weapons.
